🌟 Great week! Liam demonstrated spontaneous requesting 4 times during Tuesday's session — a new personal best.

😊
Liam had an excellent session today. He successfully completed 8 of 10 discrete trial training (DTT) rounds for his "requesting preferred items" goal — his highest accuracy rate to date. He also initiated two unprompted greetings with the RBT when she arrived, which is a strong indicator of social communication progress. We introduced the new "wait" card during snack time and he responded well after the second prompt. Overall energy was positive and cooperative throughout.

🙂
Session focused on fine motor and daily living skills. Liam completed shoe-tying steps 1–3 independently (steps 4–6 still require hand-over-hand support). He engaged in 15 minutes of parallel play alongside a peer during the structured activity block — longer than previous sessions. Some difficulty transitioning away from the iPad at the 45-minute mark; we used the first-then board and he transitioned within 2 prompts.

😐
Liam was slightly fatigued today (per parent report, he had a short night). We shortened the DTT block and spent more time on preferred activities to build rapport before targeting goals. He completed his visual schedule independently twice with no prompts — a milestone. Communication attempts were fewer than usual but consistent with fatigue. We recommend keeping the evening routine consistent on session nights to support optimal session performance.

Hi! Just a heads-up — I'll be bringing a new visual activity board to Thursday's session to work on the transition goal. You don't need to prepare anything. Just wanted to give you a preview so Liam hears about it from you first if you'd like.

That's great, thank you for the heads up! He's been doing better with transitions this week actually — we tried the first-then board you showed us and it helped a lot at bedtime.

That's amazing to hear — that's exactly the kind of generalization we're working toward! If you can jot down which activities he transitioned from/to and how many prompts it took, I can add it to his data. Even rough notes are helpful. 🙌
